Azman Jaafar will succeed Tan Chong Huat as Managing Partner

RHTLaw Taylor Wessing has appointed Mr Azman Jaafar as its new Managing Partner with effect from 1 July 2019. Azman will succeed Mr Tan Chong Huat who has been at the helm of the firm since it was established eight years ago.

Azman, who has served as RHTLaw Taylor Wessing’s Deputy Managing Partner for nearly four years, said:

As one of the founding members of RHTLaw Taylor Wessing, Azman Jaafar previously headed the firm’s Corporate Practice, specialising in mergers and acquisitions with a focus on the energy, education, technology and hospitality industry sectors. He oversees the Indonesia Practice, as well as the firm’s digital transformation. In school, Azman studied Mandarin as a second language. He is fluent in Mandarin and Bahasa Indonesia. He also chairs the ASEAN Plus Group, an Asian network of leading law firms spearheaded by RHTLaw Taylor Wessing.
