The Applied Artificial Intelligence program will provide the necessary knowledge and skills for meeting the industry’s demands
Training the workforce with digital skills is in progress across many organizations. This is in efforts of acclimating the workforce to the 4th wave of the industrial revolution.
This is a task however as many lacks prior digital skills. Hence schools are now bringing programs such as degree and diploma courses to equip students with these skills and knowledge and get them ready.
Republic Polytechnic (RP) is one such school which does that. It is to launch an Applied Artificial Intelligence program in January 2020.
Some of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills that will be taught are natural language understanding, speech generation and recognition, and vision understanding. This program has been specially designed for potential students who have no ICT backgrounds but are keen on transitioning to ICT jobs.
This program is designed together by AI Singapore and Microsoft Singapore and supported by Infocomm Media Development Authority under the TechSkills Accelerator (TeSA) Tech Immersion and Placement Program.
